Melka Excelsior Hotel offers the possibility to complete an internship in
Dolphin Assisted Therapy.
We offer this possibility for Speech Therapists,
Ergo therapists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Therapists with education in Horse Assisted Therapy and students of any other medical-therapeutically field.

The clients of Melka consist of children and adults with different kinds of diagnosis.

Along with our Dolphin Assisted Therapy we offer Horseback Riding, Massage, and additional Therapies for our clients to optimize the therapy result.

Our trainees have the possibility to support the therapy process administratively and organizationally. In addition they will learn to swim with the clients and the dolphins, or assist one of our local therapists with swimming. Along with the dolphin therapy the trainee should be able to give additional support in form of therapy or advice for the client and his family. Of course our trainees will be taught and supported. The trainees are totally involved in our therapy team.

Internship in zoology and animal care:

For our own zoo, our horses and dolphins we offer internships in zoo management and animal care. Our trainees have the possibility to support the local staff and improve the own knowledge.

• Internship cost: 600 €  per month
• Also shorter internships are possible
• Accommodation and 3 meals a day are included
